Best Practices for Perfect AI Studio Shots
How to capture the best raw images to ensure flawless AI background removal.
ForecourtSync uses advanced AI to cut out your vehicles, but giving it a good starting image makes the final result look like a £100,000 physical studio.
1. Frame the Entire Vehicle
Leave a small buffer of space around the entire car. If you cut off the front bumper or the roof in the original photo, the AI cannot magically recreate it in the virtual studio.
2. Watch Your Reflections
Car paint acts like a mirror. If you park a white car directly next to a bright red van, the side of your car will have a red tint. Try to park the vehicle in an open space away from brightly colored walls or other aggressively colored vehicles.
3. Avoid Harsh Shadows
The absolute best time to photograph cars is on a cloudy, overcast day. This provides flat, even lighting. If you must shoot in harsh, direct sunlight, ensure the sun is behind your back to avoid silhouetting the vehicle.
4. Close the Doors
Make sure all doors, the boot, and the bonnet are fully closed before taking your exterior 360 walkaround. Open doors can confuse the AI boundary detection.
